YourOwn Inc. Privacy Policy

Effective Date / Last Updated: January 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how YourOwn, Inc. (“YourOwn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our websites (the “Sites”), mobile application and wallet experience (the “Wallet”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to information we process about individuals who access or use our Services (“Users,” “you,” or “your”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1) Key Concepts

YourOwn is designed to help you organize financial information and authorize sharing of specific information with third parties you choose (such as a tax preparer, lender, landlord, or financial advisor).

  • You control whether to connect accounts and whether to share information.

  • We do not sell your personal information.

  • When you choose Connect with Plaid, Plaid helps retrieve data from your financial institutions.

  • When you choose crypto verification with Hoseki, Hoseki helps generate verification outputs (where available).

  • If you authorize sharing to a third party, that third party’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy and applicable law.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  1. information you provide directly,

If you choose to connect accounts or otherwise authorize retrieval of your financial data, we may receive information such as:

  • Bank account information (balances, transactions, account type)

  • Investment and retirement information (holdings, balances, account details)

  • Income-related information (where supported by providers)

This information is typically collected through third-party providers such as Plaid, and/or directly from supported institutions.

If you choose crypto verification through Hoseki, we may receive:

  • cryptocurrency account/wallet identifiers or connection metadata (where applicable),

  • asset information such as balances and token/asset identifiers,

4) How Authorized Sharing Works

YourOwn enables you to share information with third parties only when you authorize it.

4.1 Sharing to Recipients You Choose

When you authorize sharing with a third party (such as a lender, tax preparer, landlord, or advisor), we may disclose Shared Data to that third party based on your instructions.

4.2 Delivery Channels (Including Embedded Experiences)

Authorized sharing may occur through different delivery methods, including:

  • in-app flows,

  • links,

  • embedded experiences,

  • APIs or other technical integrations,

  • third-party platforms (including digital wallets or partner apps).

4.3 Recipient Responsibility

After a Recipient receives Shared Data, the Recipient’s use of that data is governed by its own privacy policy and applicable law. You should review the Recipient’s terms before sharing.

4.4 Revoking Sharing

You may be able to revoke future sharing permissions depending on the Recipient and technical configuration. Revocation does not automatically require a Recipient to delete data already received (subject to applicable law and the Recipient’s policies).

5) How We Share Information (Disclosures)

We may share information in the following situations:

5.1 Service Providers (Processors)

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including providers for:

  • account connectivity and data access (e.g., Plaid),

  • crypto verification (e.g., Hoseki),

  • cloud hosting and infrastructure,

  • analytics,

  • customer support tools,

  • security services,

  • payment processing.

These providers may process information only to perform services for us (subject to contractual restrictions).

5.2 With Your Consent or At Your Direction

We may share information when you direct us to, including when you authorize sharing to a Recipient.

5.3 Legal Requirements and Protection

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with law or legal process,

  • respond to lawful requests,

  • protect the safety, rights, or property of YourOwn, our users, or others,

  • prevent fraud or security issues.

5.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

6) We Do Not Sell Personal Information

YourOwn does not sell your personal information.

We also do not share your personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising” in a way that would be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain privacy laws, except as disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

7) Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Services,

  • comply with legal obligations,

  • resolve disputes,

  • enforce agreements,

  • maintain security logs and prevent fraud.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of data, legal requirements, and whether your account is active.

8) Your Choices and Controls

You may have the ability to:

  • update certain account details,

  • disconnect linked accounts (where supported),

  • revoke future sharing permissions (where supported),

  • request account deletion (see Section 12 below).

If you request deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as security, fraud prevention, and compliance).

9) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information.

These measures may include:

  • encryption in transit (e.g., TLS),

  • access controls and authentication protections,

  • logging and monitoring,

  • security reviews and incident response procedures.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your devices and accounts.

The Wallet provides a Seed Phrase or recovery phrase, YourOwn does not store it and cannot recover it for you. You are responsible for protecting it. YourOwn generally cannot access encrypted Wallet vault contents protected by your Seed Phrase. You are responsible for protecting your Seed Phrase.

9.1 User-Controlled Encryption and Access Limits

Certain information in the Wallet may be protected using encryption that is controlled by you (for example, using a Seed Phrase or similar recovery mechanism stored on your device). When this protection is enabled, YourOwn generally cannot access or read the contents of encrypted data stored within your Wallet vault.

However, to operate and support the Services, YourOwn may still process certain information that is not part of your encrypted vault, such as:

  • account registration information (e.g., email address),

  • device and usage metadata,

  • security logs and authentication events,

  • records of authorized sharing activity (e.g., recipient, timestamp, status),

  • billing and subscription records (if applicable), and

  • other information needed for compliance, fraud prevention, and platform integrity.

Authorized sharing is initiated by you. When you choose to share data with a Recipient, YourOwn may transmit the Shared Data you authorize through the applicable Delivery Channel to complete your request.
