Additionally, you can securely upload and store important documents, such as tax records, ensuring that all your vital information is readily accessible. YourOwn prioritizes data protection, using military-grade encryption and secure protocols to safeguard your personal and financial information. With YourOwn, you can confidently take charge of your finances, streamline various processes, and make informed decisions, all while maintaining full control over your valuable data.

This process, which could traditionally take hours of tedious work, is now simplified to a matter of minutes. For a typical data sharing scenario, such as applying for a loan or rental property, YourOwn can save you hours The time adds up quickly when you consider most people apply to 2-3 apartments before they land one or shop around with a few lenders for best loan rate. Instead of spending time compiling bank statements, pay stubs, investment account details, and tax documents from multiple sources, YourOwn consolidates all this information in a secure wallet. Moreover, YourOwn's automated updating ensures that you always have access to the latest versions of your linked financial data, eliminating the need to continuously request and compile new statements or records.
  • What information can I manage in the wallet?
    YourOwn provides a wallet to securely store and manage a wide range of financial information. This includes: Income Sources: Link or upload your employment details, paystubs, and other income documents to verify income. Assets: Link bank and investment and retirement accounts. Liabilities: Track your outstanding debts, loans and credit cards. Tax Documents: Securely store and access your tax returns, W-2 forms, and other tax-related documents for easy reference. Personal Identification: You can upload government-issued IDs, such as your driver's license, for identity verification purposes.     Your linked account information is always up to date and verified with your credentials. Account balances are updated every time you login. Account statements and asset reports automatically collected include the most recent 90 days of data.
  • Does YourOwn automatically pull account statements?
    Yes, YourOwn automatically pulls native account statements if supported by the institution or generates asset reports from linked accounts. These reports include account balances, transactions, employer information, gross and net income, and identity details.
  • Can third parties accept data from YourOwn?
    Yes, you can conveniently share your financial data with any trusted recipient's email address or cloud storage. Whether you're applying for a loan, rental application, or working with a financial advisor, you can easily control what you share when. In the future, direct share with preferred partners via API will be available, making the share process even faster and more secure. Furthermore, linked account data is compliant with industry lending standards like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This means using YourOwn will meet requirements when applying for loans with banks, brokers or lenders. Income data is also verified to meet the requirements of rental applications.

    YourOwn securely links to over 12,000 US financial institutions. YourOwn also covers 85% of the US workforce through payroll providers, giving you access to income data, pay stubs, W2 forms, and 1099s.

We are actively working on developing dedicated mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms.   • Get started
    Follow these simple steps to get started: Sign up by entering your email and creating a strong password. Make sure to review our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Select your primary intended use for YourOwn (e.g., home loans, renting, wealth building). Securely save your Seed Phrase, which is crucial for exclusive data access and restoring data on other devices. We recommend storing it in a safe place. Link your financial accounts, including income sources, banks, investments, and any other relevant accounts or documents. Share your YourOwn profile with trusted professionals (loan officers, property managers, financial planners, etc.) to streamline processes and get expert guidance. With your profile set up, you can now easily apply for home loans, leases, and complete other financial onboarding requirements.   • Link accounts
    On the Financials Page, you'll see cards for various account types: Bank, Income, Investment, Credit & Loans. Click the "Link Account" button on the respective card for the type of account you want to connect. Use the search bar to find your financial institution, payroll provider, or employer. Enter your login credentials (username and password) for the selected institution. Review the data permissions and select the information you want to share with YourOwn. Authorize the connection to securely link your accounts. Once linked, you'll instantly gain visibility into your account balances and have access to native account statements (if provided by the institution). Your data will be updated automatically, giving you a comprehensive financial overview within YourOwn. For your convenience, you can link multiple accounts of the same type by repeating these steps.   • Upload documents
    In case your financial institution, payroll provider, or employer does not support automatic account linking, you can manually upload documents. Tax documents always need to be manually uploaded as well. Follow these simple steps: Click on the "Upload" button under a linked account or the "Upload" button under the tax category. Browse and select the relevant document(s) from your device. For each uploaded document, provide a descriptive file name and specify the time period it covers. After uploading, you can view the document details and preview the contents in a separate tab. This process ensures that all your important financial information is securely stored and accessible within YourOwn, regardless of the institution's integration capabilities. If you need to upload multiple documents, simply repeat these steps as necessary. Remember, uploading documents manually is a secure and convenient way to maintain a comprehensive financial profile within your wallet.   • Create custom income provider
    If your payroll provider or employer does not support automatic account linking, you can easily create a custom income account within your wallet. Here's how: Navigate to the Income category and click "Add Custom Income Provider." Enter a descriptive name for your income source (e.g., Company Name, Self-Employment, etc.). Once the custom income account is created, click the "Upload" button to add your paystubs and other relevant income documents. For each uploaded document, provide a clear file name and specify the time period it covers. After uploading, you can view the document details and preview the contents in a separate tab. By following these steps, you'll have a centralized location to manage and track your income, even if your employer or payroll provider does not offer direct integration with YourOwn. If you have multiple income streams, you can create separate custom income accounts for each source, ensuring a comprehensive financial overview within YourOwn.   • Share profile
    After completing your profile, you can easily share it conveniently. Follow these steps: Click on the "Share" option in the left navigation menu. Enter a descriptive name for your profile package (e.g., Rent Application for 123 Main St., Loan Application for Home Purchase, etc.). Add the recipient's email address(es) to specify who you want to share your profile with. Select the relevant categories of data that are required for the specific purpose (e.g., income, assets, liabilities, etc.). Review the summary of your profile package, ensuring that the contents are accurate and complete. Once you're satisfied with the package, click "Download" to securely generate a ZIP file containing your profile information. Attach the downloaded ZIP file to an email and send it to the intended recipient(s). You can also upload the file to any cloud storage provider. By following these steps, you can easily share your comprehensive financial profile with trusted professionals, such as loan officers, property managers, or financial advisors, streamlining various processes and applications. If you need to share your profile with multiple parties or for different purposes, you can repeat these steps to create separate packages as needed.
